Directions to West Mill, Welcombe

From M5 take exit 27 and proceed past Tiverton on the A361. Continue on the link road (A361 which becomes A39 after Barnstaple). Pass Bideford on the A39 and stay on this road (marked Bude) for about 15 miles.

After the West Country Inn, go on for one mile and then turn right at sign for Welcombe. After two miles, keep left at fork (marked Welcombe Mouth).

Carry on for a mile past Old Smithy pub on right. Road bends left, then right through a hamlet, with farm on left.
A straightish 400 yard stretch of road ends in a sharp right-hand bend. The signpost here is marked ‘Mead Corner’. Instead of following the road that bends right here, go straight ahead, on a track marked ‘Unsuitable for Motors’. Go down here and after 100 yards you will see a gate marked West Mill –the track looks steep but the cement surface starts after a few yards.
